The Museum of Art & Photography (MAP) is a new museum project in the city of Bengaluru in South India.
Its mission is to exhibit, interpret and preserve a growing collection of Indian art and cultural artefacts, and connect art and community through its commitment to Education, Accessibility, Awareness and Conservation.
Collection
The museum is centered around a core collection of about 15,000 artworks, predominantly from the subcontinent and dating from the 12th century to the present. These are housed in six key departments: Photography, Modern & Contemporary, Folk & Tribal, Popular Art and Textiles, Craft and Design and Pre-Modern Art.

Ongoing Programs
While the museum’s physical space is being built, MAP is actively reaching out to the community through a variety of programs and projects, including loans, exhibitions, workshops and public lectures.
