The Museum of Art & Photography Foundation was established in 2017 to promote collaboration between the United States of America and India in the areas of Indian art and culture, with a focus on education and conservation.
It achieves this objective through a variety of ways, including organizing talks, events, exhibitions, and facilitating dialogue between arts institutions, professionals, and audiences in the two countries.
The Foundation is led by a board of five trustees who determine its policies and provide strategic direction, drawing from their experiences in fields ranging from the arts and culture to commerce and diplomacy.
The MAP Foundation's current focus is the support of a new cultural institution in South India: the Museum of Art & Photography (MAP), which is scheduled to open to the public in 2020.
